In late February 2020, the NGN team was alerted by our vendor that the core network design they approved and deployed would, in fact, not scale to meet Yale’s requirements. As a result, there is a ‘hold’ on transitioning any additional pilot locations to the current NGN.
Our vendors are fully engaged and working closely with our team to ensure a viable, tested core redesign is completed as quickly as possible. As technical decisions around the core redesign are confirmed, a full assessment and update will be made for all dimensions of the program, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
